BRAND FOCUS: COSRX BHA BLACKHEAD POWER LIQUID

As promised earlier, I will follow up the previous review on COSRX series with an update on COSRX Blackhead Power Liquid. This together with the AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid has been a fantastic duo that helps improving my skin condition significantly.

So please PATCH TEST all the products if you know you have sensitive skin, or stay away from those that has alcohol and strong fragrance if you cannot stand those.

You can now easily get rid of them and prevent these stubborn blackheads from appearing ever again with BHA Blackhead Power Liquid. No harsh peeling, no irritation – this liquid essence is specially formulated with BHA molecules that effectively removes dead skin cells to be able to give way to the nutrition it gives the skin at the same time. This is also infused with several botanical extracts which gives you brighter and fairer complexion.

Packaging:

Just like the AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid, the product is packaged in a very simple and straightforward packaging, like the formula itself. Even though it might deemed to be a little bit bland for my aesthetics, I honestly do not mind it that much. The functional aspects of the packaging is strong, with sturdy packaging, excellent quality pumps that is designed nicely. One pump is enough for my entire face.

Smell:

Unlike the AHA Whitehead Liquid, the BHA Blackhead Power Liquid has no scent, which I really appreciate, after realizing how off-putting the Whitehead Liquid was. Using this liquid was such a breeze and I am more than happy as no fragrance is equivalent to lesser chance of skin irritation.

How to use? (from COSRX)

After washing and toning, dispense 1 to 2 pumps of the power liquid and spread it all over the face. Gently massage it onto the affected area where most blackheads show. Use daily – morning and evening.

How I actually use this:

Just like its Whitehead counterpart, I did not want to mess with the caution, so I use this on alternate day with the Whitehead Power Liquid, and notice great results. I normally use this after my toner step, when my skin is perfectly cleansed and balanced. After waiting for 20-30 mins, I move on with a hydrating essence/serum, followed by sheet mask, light gel cream and sleeping pack. It is important that other products following your acid treatment step are all hydrating to help sooth the skin after the treatment. 

Do note that you need to introduce this into your skincare very slowly. I recommend once a week first, then slowly increase the frequency after your skin get used to it

Texture:

It is an extremely light-weight texture that is as runny as water. The liquid absorbed onto my skin with minimal efforts, a little bit of tapping with help it absorbs much faster.

Verdict:

This using in conjunction with the AHA Whitehead Power Liquid improved my skin significantly over the past 2 months. I must say, my skin has never do so well for the longest time ever. All my acnes and pimples are in control, scars are fading quick and most importantly, those funny bumpy texture on my skin is gone. While the AHA take cares of the skin texture, I notice the BHA really cleansed out all the gunks that is deep within my skin. All the bumpy thing that I noticed underneath my skin has all disappeared magically, and I am so thankful that all the blackhead seems to bid goodbye too. This is such a star products. If you are not sure about COSRX products and wonder whether or not the BHA or AHA will improve your skin more, my suggestion is to try the BHA first. Whatever more troublesome skin concerns you have, this product will likely tackle its faster, first and foremost.
