REVIEW: dear KLAIRS FRESHLY JUICED VITAMIN C DROP

Hello there pretty, welcome back to my blog πŸ˜‰

Sorry for not being able to post more regularly recently, as I just finished my school term. All those hectic sleepless nights did quite a bit damage to my skin, so I will seriously need to up my skin care game. Today I will share with you about my love with Dear Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop, a spot treatment that I have been using for nearly 3 months πŸ˜‰

Disclaimer: This blog is merely where I share my opinions about product that I have tried. I cannot guarantee what works for me will work for you. So please PATCH TEST all the products if you know you have sensitive skin, or stay away from those that has alcohol and strong fragrance if you cannot stand those.

If you read my blog before, you would know that I have oily and very acne-prone skin (yes I know it sucks). Whenever I am stressed out, weather changes, or any funny product I test out, those can easily trigger a breakout. Beside those painful pimples, what I am worried the most is actually hyper-pigmentation,Β  aka the scars that the pimples left behind T___T. This product has been my go to solution for that problem.

Packaging:

The Package is a fresh clean clear glass bottle. Look absolutely simple and beautiful. I totally love it. The product came with a super handy dropper, keep it very hygienic and convenient to apply as I can control the amount of product very easily. However, since the product is a Vitamin C Serum, many people were concerned that it will be exposed to direct sunlight and can be oxidized quickly. However, the product is formulated to achieve a stable balance, so that no oxidation will take place. I do recommend keep this in a cool place, avoid sunlight and use it regularly. My serum did turn a slight little bit to the yellow side, but I am already half way through the bottle so I think I will finish this in only a short while more.

The dropper is very helpful πŸ™‚

Smell:

The product has no strong smell, but a fainted scent, a bit metallic. Or at least that how it felt to me. But it fades away quickly and does not bother me that much

How to use?

I use this only on days that I do not have any AHA/BHA in my skin care regimen.Β  I use this after my toner on day I suffer greatly from visible scar. On other day, I use this aftern my toner, essence and other hydrating serum. Apply 4-5 drops in your palm, warm it up in your hand and evenly pat this all over your face. Another extra drop can be applied on area that need special treatment (huge stubborn scar maybe). If you have sensitive skin, you may start out with less drops, or mix this will your moisturizer, then apply on moisturizer step. For me, I use this directly on my skin. If it is your first time using a vitamin C product, a minor tingling may be experienced. This is a normal process due to the difference of pH levels in the skin and the vitamin C, and is absolutely safe to use.

Texture:

A running dry oil. But absorb into skin very fast after you spread on your face.

Verdict:

This serum is absolutely amazing. My scars all faded within a month. At the start, I were very skeptical as really no visible result is seen within the first week. However, after a month, my skin is visibly brighter and all the scars were faded greatly. I guess you cannot expect instant results from any product, but use them regularly and see the difference. For all I know, product that promises instant results, that effect bounds to not last long. Do note that on day you use this serum, sunscreen is A MUST. Also, no other treatment in the acid spectrum (AHA, BHA, etc.) and please moisturize your skin properly, as this may dry out your skin a little bit, especially the cheeks area.

Rating: 5/5

  1. This item should be banned (may cause irritation)
  2. This item is not doing its job well

Repurchase?

Definitely. As this works so well on my skin, I now using this every 3 days a week. Since I am also testing out COSRX AHA and BHA Liquid, I use this Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop on days that I am not using the other 2 acids. AHA, BHA, this product, then repeat (as my serum step)
